Error Reporting Service is a feature of Windows that provides facilities for you to send reports to Microsoft if there is an error on your Windows operating system. Interface of this error reporting service in the form of a window that tells you if an application had errors.

This window provides the option of a button you can use to send an error description said. I think you’re a user of Windows XP often see this window when a program crashes you are running or closed unexpectedly. Window provides some information about the causes of this error.

However, for ordinary users like me, the window does not provide a clear picture of the causes of this error. Indeed you are given a button Send Report. However, this requires an internet connection. For those of you who have a connection you can just send an error report said. However, For those of you who do not have internet connection, this message does not much help. Even you think is annoying and wants the window does not appear again.

For those of you who do not need this feature, there is a way to turn off the error reporting feature in Windows XP service. With a few steps, windows error reporting service will not appear again in Windows XP. Here langakah-steps:

  • Open the Run window by clicking Start>> Run.
  • On the Run input box type “msconfig” (without the quotes) and press Enter to open the System Configuration Utility.
  • In the System Configuration Utility window, click the service that is part of the window.
  • Then the list below the existing service, search service called “Error Reporting Service”.
  • After that, remove the check mark (grass) in front of the service.
  • Click the OK button to close the System Configuration Utility window and save the configuration.
  • Restart your computer for this change affect your operating system.

Everything has been completed. Now that would occur if mistakes (errors) in an application that you run on your computer, this window will not appear again. If you want to activate it again, you just follow the steps above and give back this check mark in front of the service from the Error Reporting Service.
