setting up
DVD of Windows Vista is entering a code that has the format Windows Imaging (WIM), so if you buy the Home Basic or Ultimate, the code remains the same, the only difference is the product key that will unlock features – specific features. This means, users who buy a lower edition (ex. Home Basic) can upgrade its operating system (assuming the user has hardware that is supported) by purchasing the product key either online or offline. However, all features – even if you’ve bought – it all depends on your hardware configuration. If you do not have a suitable graphics hardware, you will never see the Aero graphic effects which is one of the leading features of Windows Vista.

Windows Vista setting up takes about 1 hour (can be less, depending on the specifications of the PC). The process is automatic, the first – the installer will begin copying the WIM to your hard drive that takes about 5 minutes later, the system will restart and then proceed with installing Windows Vista.

After setting up is complete, Windows Vista will ask for your regional, then time and currency, and the final layout of keyboard. Then, you’ll choose a username, a user icon, and a password. Then select your desktop wallpaper and security settings on: Automatic, Install Importan Updates Only, or Ask me Later. After all that is done will emerge a new message “Please Wait While Windows Checks Your Computer’s Performance”. Here, Microsoft will give a value on your computer in point (1 – 5).
